Bogdan N.
LAZAR
Bogdan joined the British International School of Timisoara as Deputy School Director. He is a fully qualified teacher with extensive experience in international schools across Asia and Europe. In his previous leadership role, he worked at a leading international school in Germany.
His academic background includes degrees in Social Sciences, Business Administration and Educational Psychology. He also holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from the United Kingdom.
Bogdan specializes in teaching IB, A-Level, and IGCSE Economics, Business, and Sociology. He has held a variety of educational management positions, ranging from Head of Department to School Principal, in diverse contexts. His teaching experience also extends to the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, where he serves as an Associate Professor at international universities in Switzerland, Austria, and Malta, lecturing on business-related subjects on a part-time basis. Additionally, he has taught at a prestigious university in Bucharest.
Alongside his teaching roles, Bogdan is an IB Examiner who enjoys marking examination papers and moderating internally assessed components.
Outside of his professional work, he admits to missing the experience of riding his motorbike through the bustling streets of China and driving on Germany’s unrestricted motorways.
He is married and has a 15-year-old daughter, currently in Year 11.
