ȘANDOR
Mr Ovidiu Sandor is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in Romania. He has a keen desire to bring improvements to the community through his various projects. His main area of activity is in real estate. His modern, multifunctional office centres and residential areas are well known for their innovative flair. As recognition of the quality of his projects and the positive impact in the community, Mr Sandor has won numerous awards, including the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019. In addition to his work in the building industry, Mr Sandor is also involved in several civic and community projects. His Art Encounters biennial is well known in the region and has had a significant impact on the Timisoara community and surrounding areas.
As he himself would say, the implementation of top-quality international education, through the opening of the British International School of Timisoara, in the west of Romania is one of his dearest projects. Mr Sandor is the main founder of BIST and the Chair of the School Board. He is actively involved in the strategic development of the school and together with the School Board and the School Leadership Team, he is planning to build one of the best schools in the country and to create a centre of excellence in international education.
